Mary Jane Clarke, 96 , of Cascade, IA, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Mercy One Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa.

Visitation for Mary Jane will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at the Reif Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa.

Services for Mary Jane will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Cascade, Iowa with Rev. Mark Osterhaus presiding.  Burial will be held in Calvary Cemetery in Cascade.

Mary Jane was born October 25, 1927 in Cascade, Iowa, daughter of Frank and Katherine (Streng) Kremer.  She is a graduate of the former St. Mary’s High Schol in Cascade. On September 6, 1952 she was united in marriage to T. Patrick Clarke at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Cascade. He preceded her in death on August 5, 1999.

She was employed at the former Cascade Forestry Service and Kremer and Streng Dry Goods.

Mary Jane was an avid bowler and golfer.  On August 28, 2013 she was inducted into the WEIGA Hall of Fame.

She was a member of St. Mathias Parish in Cascade and the Cascade American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by a sister in-law, Dorothy Kremer of Cascade, IA and several nieces and nephews.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ed Kremer and Carl (Marion) Kremer and Jerome (Marjorie) Kremer; a sister, Dola (Willard) Potter; and a nephew, Fred Kremer.
