Michael “Mike” Herrig, 52, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on January 29, 2022, at Hills & Dales.

Family and friends may gather from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 4th, 2022 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Deacon Loras Weber officiating.

Michael was born on August 12, 1969 to Edwin and Judith (Ploessl) Herrig in Dubuque, Iowa.

He was one of the first residents of Hills & Dales in Dubuque and his presence will never be forgotten. When Mike looked at you with his big, brown eyes your heart immediately  melted.

Those left to celebrate Mike’s life are his siblings Michelle “Shelly” (Pete Ludwig) Herrig, Debbie (Virg) Brothers, Pat (Jill) Herrig, and Jason Nemmers, and several nieces and a nephew.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents Edwin and Judith, his grandparents, and his aunts and uncles.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hills & Dales for the wonderful care they gave Mike throughout the years.
