Nancy L. (Frazier) Muntz, age 91, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026, at home.

Nancy was born on July 18, 1935, in Platteville, WI, the daughter of Raymond and Mae (DeBord) Frazier. She was united in marriage to John H. “Jack” Muntz on June 11, 1955, in Dubuque, IA. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1998.

Nancy was employed as a laborer at the Dubuque Packing Company until her retirement and belonged to the Local #150A. After retirement, she spent her time taking care of her beloved grandkids. Once raised, she later worked for Creative Catering in Dubuque.

In her earlier years, she enjoyed being on the river and camping. While these activities brought her happiness, nothing compared to the joy she found in being a grandmother. Taking care of her grandchildren was her most important and treasured role, and she took every opportunity to spoil them. The bond she shared with them was one of her greatest treasures.

Surviving are four children, Doris Runde, Dee (Kevin) Thomas, Herb Muntz, and Tammie (Scott) Schaefer; nine grandchildren, T. J. (Courtney) Runde, Jaki Schaefer (Leigh Ohnesorge), Tara (Michael) Sendt, Tricia (Cody) Slater, Scotty (Shelby) Schaefer, Alex Muntz, Josh Thomas (Mickie Yager), Jill (Adam) Herrig, and Jolyn Thomas; nine great-grandchildren, Elyse, Cameron and Kaleb, Aleigha and Amirah, Ledger and Cora, Brecken and Remi, Kelsey, Gavin, and Lincoln; her siblings, George (Tama) Frazier, Raymond (Shirley) Frazier, Liz (Steve) Hesseling, Sue Ann (Perry) Flint, Rick (Beth) Frazier and Merle Frazier; in-laws, Delores Muntz, Bev Kramer and Marge Brauns, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mae, her husband, John “Jack”, great-grandson, Carter Runde, siblings, John, Charles, Riley, and Floyd Frazier, Elsie Miller, Rex at birth, Steve and Allen Frazier, father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Marguerite (Beck) Muntz, in-laws Gene Kramer and Jerry and Donna Muntz.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 – 11:15 a.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque, IL, where funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, with Pastor Karen L. Candee officiating. Burial will follow at Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque, IA.
