Nancy L. Neal, age 63, of Dubuque, passed away at 10:58 p.m., on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital.  To celebrate Nancy’s life, private family services were held.  Burial will be at a later date following cremation in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.  Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street is assisting the family.

Nancy was born on August 15, 1959, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Howard and Lois (Otting) Neal.

Nancy attended school at Dubuque Senior High School.  After school, she moved to Las Vegas for a time before moving back home and going to work as a CNA at Stonehill and as a bartender for several years.  She enjoyed listening to music and followed the Mississippi Band.  Nancy also liked animals of any kind, attending dog shows and traveling around the country.  She was a very giving person and would give you her last dime if she thought it would help you.  She also loved watching out for the neighborhood kids after school. Nancy was a fighter and battled through many challenges in life.  She will be greatly missed, but we find some comfort in knowing that she is now resting peacefully free of the health issues she has faced these past years.

Those left to cherish Nancy’s memory include

her brother,
Randy (Kris Harrison) Neal, Dubuque, IA;

and her nieces, nephew, great-niece and great-nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.
