A true animal lover, she cared for many animals throughout her life. More than anything, Pat cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her life and the highlight of her every day.

Survivors include four children, Charles Peterson of Bellevue, IA, Wendy (Kevin) Smith of Dubuque, Laurie (Jeff) Oberfoell of Sherrill, IA, and Joe (Deb) Busch of Dubuque; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one sister, Mary Paul of Bellevue, IA; one half-brother, John Hattula of Freeport, IL; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Patricia was preceded in death by one daughter, Darce Peterson; two sons, Francis Peterson and Carl Peterson Jr.; one sister, Sharon Myer; and half siblings, Joy, Charlie, Billy, and Bobbie Hattula.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Joe and Deb and her very good friend, Leslie Davis for coming to visit and care for mom. Also Thank You to Dr. Ries and the nurses and staff with Hospice of Dubuque for their compassionate care.
