Patrick J. Coleman

Patrick J. Coleman, 58, of Peosta, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at his home in Peosta, with his family at his side.

Per Pat’s request, there will be no public services.  A Celebration of Life honoring Pat will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026 at the Reiff Funeral Home-Event Center (in the back of the funeral home) in Peosta, Iowa, casual attire requested.

Pat was born June 6, 1967, in Dubuque, Iowa, the youngest son of Edward A. and Joyce E. (Berkley) Coleman.  He is a graduate of Senior High School in Dubuque, Iowa.  On July 16, 1987, he was united in marriage to Rhonda Weidemann in Dubuque, Iowa. Together they raised two daughters.

He was a proud Army Veteran, who served with the 1st Infantry Division, spending some time in Europe.

In March of 2024, Pat retired after 35 years as a career automobile salesperson in the Dubuque area.

Pat had a very likeable personality and was truly successful at many life achievements.  Many favorite past-times include being involved in stock car racing, showing and collecting classic cars, exploring with jeeps and convertibles, traveling west and enjoying a good chess game.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rhonda Coleman of Peosta, IA; two daughters, Alexia (Ryan) Sindt of Bernard, IA and Samantha (Shawn) Thomas of Sherrill, IA; five grandchildren, Kelsie, Brayton, Mason, Brody and Brynnlee; and a brother, Michael (Amy) Coleman of Key West, IA; his brothers and sisters in-laws, Jim (Char) Weidemann, Judy Roebken, Joan (Rick) Herbst, and Rick (Sharon) Weidemann; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Merlin and Pat Weidemann and a brother-in-law, Kent Roebken.
