Rita M. Moran, 85, of Dubuque, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at her home in Dubuque, Iowa, surrounded by her family.

In accordance with Rita’s wishes there will be no public visitation/services.

She was born February 3, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Young) Banck.  She is a 1958 graduate of the Immaculate Conception Academy in Dubuque.  On May 21, 1960, she was united in marriage to James Moran at Sacred Heart Catholic church in Dubuque, Iowa.

She was employed as a Telephone operator, and later as a Clinique Cosmetic Consultant at Younkers for 10 years.  She was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Dubuque.

She truly enjoyed spending time with her husband, Children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, James Moran of Dubuque, IA; four daughters, Sheri (Dave) Lindemier and Kelli Allen both of Dubuque, IA, Kristi (John) Santiago of Killeen, TX and Staci (Brian) Walsh of Dubuque, IA; 12 grandchildren, 11, great grandchildren; a sister, Kay (Denny) Strumberger of Omaha, NE; a sister-in-law, Marlene of Dubuque, IA and a brother-in-law Douglas (Pat) Moran of Dubuque, IA.

She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Richard Banck and two sisters, Jean (Donald) Cornish and Dorothy (George “Jack”) Gray.
