A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Key West, with Rev. Martin Obeng officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery.

Bob was born on July 28, 1940, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Christopher and Anita (Connolly) Lambe. He graduated from Maquoketa High School in 1958 and married Ann M. Hoerner on November 24, 1960, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Key West. Bob spent his life farming in Zwingle. In his younger years, he was an active member of the Hawkeye Motorcycle Club and the Hawkeye Vintage Farm Machinery Association.

Bob enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. When his children were young, he loved taking the family on road trips to watch his brother-in-law, Joe Hoerner, play in Major League Baseball games across the country. Later in life, he found joy in tractor pulls, car shows, riding his Harley, and attending parades. Known for his goofy personality, Bob will be remembered as a true character and a legend in his own time.

He is survived by his wife, Ann; his children Linda (John) Duccini, Larry Lambe, Terry (Jackie) Lambe, David (Marci) Lambe, and Dan (Lisa) Lambe; thirteen grandchildren, Jolene (Chris) Schlemme, Jill (Dan) Herr, Corri (Elijah) Brown, Tyler (Rachel) Lambe, Stevie Lambe, Emma Lambe, Lucie Lambe, Nick Lambe, Beth Lambe, Zach Lambe, Lexie (Justin) Lange, Taylor (Kole) Patters, and Trae Lambe; thirteen great-grandchildren, Brady Schlemme, Chloe Schlemme, Emmett Herr, Greta Herr, Elsie Herr, Cora Herr, Lydia Lyons, Luke Brown, Kate Brown, Leighton Lambe, Baby Boy Lambe (due in March), Oaklyn Lange, Wrenley Lange, and Kasen Patters; special nephew Mike Clewell and family; and sisters-in-law, Donna Lambe, Sally Hoerner and Darlene Hoerner (Don) Schmidt.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Christopher and Anita; his parents-in-law, Walter and Gladys Hoerner; and his brothers, Tom, Donnie, and David Lambe; and in-laws, Mary (Terry) O’Toole, Betty (Jay) Smith, Sally (Jim) Clewell, Bob (Millie) Hoerner, John (Phyllis) Hoerner, Jim Hoerner and Joe Hoerner.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics, Stonehill Health Center, and Hospice of Dubuque for the compassionate care shown to Bob and his family during this time.
