Robert E. “Bob” Miller, 81, of Benton, WI, formerly of Dubuque, IA, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Manor Care Health Services in Dubuque.

There will be no public visitation. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Bob was born on December 15, 1936 in Iowa City, IA, the son of Nick and Charlotte (Droese) Miller. He was united in marriage to Alice L. Brokus on May 8, 1953 in Dubuque, she preceded him in death on May 22, 2013.

Bob was formerly employed at Alter Metals, Jacobsen Recycling and Dubuque Wilbert Vault Company.

He loved going to the casinos and purchasing lottery tickets.

Surviving are five children, Charlotte (Randy) Waterman of East Dubuque, Bonnie Miller of Guttenberg, Alice (Rick) Revenig of Dubuque, Linda (Nick) Martin, of Anamosa, and Robert E. “Bob” (Tressa) Miller of Benton, WI; 16 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 7 great- great-grandchildren; his siblings, Betty Billmeyer, Marion Wiezorek, Jean Rubie, and Ron Miller.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jack, Don, Ed, Jim, and Jane Palm.
