Ronald “Downtown Ronnie Brown” Brauhn, 58, of Dubuque, passed away on May 20, 2024 at UnityPoint Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.

Private family services will be held. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is assisting the family.

Ronald was born on June 26, 1965 in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Rodger and Leah (Janzen) Brauhn. He graduated from East Dubuque High School. Ronnie was a jack-of-all-trades and would help anyone with anything.

He is survived by his siblings Linda (Zach) Lanham, Peg (Kenny) Lackey, Charlotte (Ronnie) Kilburg, and Richard (Sandy) Brauhn, nieces and nephews Robert Lanham, Andi Chapman, Becca McInnish, Billie Jo Myers, Jennifer Manders, Chris Olszewki, and Samantha Pearson, as well as many great friends who were like family to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brother-in-law Bill Roling, and nephews Jason Kilburg and Justin Kilburg.

The family would like to thank all of Ronnie’s friends for helping him throughout his life. Thank you for helping our family as well. We appreciate you all for your friendship to Ronnie.
