Sr. Patricia A. Donahoe
Sister Patricia Ann Donahoe, BVM, (Marjorie), 94, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2026, at Mount Carmel Bluffs in Dubuque, Iowa.
Visitation will be from 9-9:30 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026, in the Mary Frances Clarke Chapel at Mount Carmel Bluffs. Sharing of Memories will be at 9:30 a.m. followed immediately by the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial is in the Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Sister Pat was an elementary teacher at Holy Family in Mason City, Iowa; Brooks Elementary in Des Moines, Iowa; St. Therese in Kansas City, Mo.; Mount Carmel Academy in Wichita, Kans.; St. Patrick in Lincoln, Ill.; and Presentation in Chicago. She served as media services librarian and library director at Mundelein College and librarian at Loyola University, both in Chicago.
She was born on Sept. 14, 1931, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Anthony John and Marjorie (LaValle) Donahoe. She entered the BVM congregation on Feb. 2, 1950, from St. Peter Parish, Des Moines, Iowa. She professed first vows on Aug. 15, 1952, and final vows on Aug. 15, 1957.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Anthony John Donahoe, John “Jack” Boniface Donahoe, Anthony Jude (Karen) Donahoe, and Dennis Raphael (Theresa) Donahoe. She is survived by nieces, nephews, and the Sisters of Charity, BVM, with whom she shared life for 76 years.
