Stephen Irvin Oeth, 63, of Dubuque, died Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family.

As per Steve’s request there will be no service.

Stephen was born June 14, 1958, in Dubuque, IA, the son of Arthur Herman and Mary Janet Schmidt Oeth. On May 8, 1982, he married Sue Davis in Marshalltown.

He graduated from Wahlert High School, class of 1976. He attended the University of Iowa and later received a degree from NICC in the Carpentry Program.

He was self employed and owned Oeth Construction Company.  He later was Director of Maintenance at Area Residential Care.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Davis; one daughter, Emma Marie Stapleton; one son, Walter Evan Davis-Oeth of Estherville; two brothers, Dennis A. Oeth of Anacortes, WA, and James F. Oeth of Madison, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Art & Mary, and in-laws, Hugh & Marj (Halter) Davis.

Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity Dubuque/Jackson Counties.
