Steven G. Cue
Steven G. Cue, 74, of Dubuque died Monday, December 9, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics after a sudden illness. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday, December 13 at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 Kennedy Road with sharing of memories at 7 pm. Private family burial of cremains will be at a later date.
Steven was born January 6, 1950 in Dubuque, son of Donald and Arlene (Schoenthal) Cue. After graduating from Dubuque Senior High School, he went to work for Dubuque Packing Co./FDL Foods. He then went to work for Clarke University for over 30 years until his retirement.
He loved spending time with family, his kids and grandchildren were his world. He enjoyed trout fishing, camping, hunting, and playing cards. Steve was also famous for his chocolate chip cookies.
He is survived by his children, Vicki (Dave) Konichek, Shelley (Mark) Laird, and Brian (Tiffany) Cue; his grandchildren, Corissa and Mitchell (fiancé Alyssa) Konichek; Kayla and Zach Laird; and Ethan and Estella Cue; and his former spouse, Carolyn Cue, all of Dubuque.
He is also survived by his siblings, David, Don (Renee), Jeff (Ginger), Tim, Kevin (Dana), and Bill (Sarah) Cue, Karen (Karl) Fleege, and Jim (Nancy) Bausch; a brother in law, Gary Wild and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Sharon Atkins and Kathy Wild. In lieu of flowers Steve’s wishes would be to take your family out for ice cream.
