Suzanne “Sue” A. Walgamuth, 88, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on June 7, 2025, at Stonehill Health Center. In accordance with her wishes, a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place at Linwood Cemetery.

Sue was born on December 28, 1936, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of Michael and Ruth (Hibbard) Schnee. She graduated from Bellevue High School and went on to work as a secretary and receptionist at Bellevue Memorial Hospital, the office of Dr. Manly Michaelson, Xavier Hospital, Mercy Hospital, and Medical Associates. She was a member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church.

Sue will be fondly remembered for her deep love of family and friends. She was a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and Iowa Hawkeyes, and she found joy in music of all kinds. Earlier in life, she enjoyed both bowling and golfing.

She is survived by her children, Dennis (Linda) Walgamuth of Bellevue and Pam (Jim Hollister) Walgamuth of Dubuque; her grandchildren, Hope (Weston) Lampe of Denver, Colorado, and Beau Walgamuth of Bellevue; great-grandson, Sonny Lampe; and her brother, Michael (Chesney Sharp) Schnee of Corvallis, Oregon.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents and her daughter-in-law, Lavonne (Heiar) Walgamuth.

Memorials in Sue’s name may be directed to Hospice of Dubuque.
