Thomas P. Good
Thomas Paul Good, 84, of Dubuque, passed away June 10, 2024, at home. In keeping with his wishes, services will be held at a later date in Alaska and Wyoming.
Thomas was born on May 29, 1940, to Paul Lucas and Vada Virginia (Graham) Good in Dayton, Ohio. He was united in marriage to Barbara (Orthman) Good on November 5, 1961, in Greely, CO. He resided in Anchorage, Alaska for 40 years until moving to Cody, Wyoming. Thomas worked in management for the JC Penny company for over thirty years. He was a true entrepreneur and outdoorsman, and before retiring to Cody owned his own very successful business selling Sporting goods and fishing equipment throughout Alaska.
Thomas was a big hunter and fisherman who loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed multiple hunting trips in Alaska and to Canada, Africa and New Zealand over the years. He was a longtime member of Safari Club International, Ducks Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever. Thomas was also an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan, and more recently enjoyed cheering on Caitlin Clark.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Kimberly Ann Mahosky of Anchorage, AK, and Tamara Lynn Hodge (Peter Shearer) of Dubuque, IA; grandchildren, Blaine (Ashley) Lenzner of Winchester, TN, Julia (Jorge Acosta) Mahosky of Anchorage, AK, Lucas Hodge of Dubuque, IA, and Jacob (Hannah Kilburg) Hodge of Dubuque, IA; great-grandchildren, Erin, Jayla, Kimberleigh, and Jerriche. Also surviving are siblings, Timothy (Jacque) Good of Cody, WY, Robert (Sue) Good of Glendale, NC, and Dave (Bonnie) Good of Amarillo, TX; in-laws, Sandy (John) Jones of West Palm Beach, FL, Patricia (Dave) Reichert of Lake Havasu, AZ, and Sherry (Jack) Walter of LaSalle, CO. Thomas is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Bella.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
