Torriano Stewart
Torriano “Torri” Stewart, 49, unexpectedly passed away on September 28, 2025. He was a father, grandfather, son, brother, and a friend to many.
Torri spent his younger years in Freeport, Illinois, with his brother Brian and sister Monika. Even while facing many challenges in life, he always managed to keep a big, goofy smile on his face. In his 20s, he made his way to Dubuque, where he formed lifelong friendships and relationships. Whether through his smile, his jokes, or his genuine love for others, Torri was someone you always wanted to be around.
He was a big sports fan whether it was football, basketball, or even golf. If there was a game on, Torri was watching it. He loved backyard barbecues and get-togethers where he could man the grill (even if the food turned out a little burnt) while enjoying time with family and friends. He also shared his love of cooking by teaching a few of his loved ones how to make some of his favorite family recipes, from tater tot casserole to baked macaroni and cheese.
Torri’s quick wit, playful trash talk, and corny comebacks could keep any party going. Although he was skilled at a game of bags, he didn’t always dominate the way he planned. Still, he always made sure everyone had fun, no matter who won or lost.
Though his time on Earth was far too short, his legacy of love and family will live on through the many generations who carry his memory.
Torri is survived by his significant other, Jessica Konrardy; his nine children, Marquies (Jordy) Carroll, Markel (Brianna) Carroll, Alex (Alexis) Washkowiak, Kalie (Shawn) Konrardy, Kylia (Deante) Jurisic, Marshaun Carroll, Cain McWilliams, Myles Fondell, and Amira Laufenberg; his grandchildren, Braelyn, Zayden, Zyaire, Zayn, Ava, Quies, Mila, Kenzlee, Kyrie, and Kash; his mother, Karen Johnson; his father, Stanley Edison; his brother, Brian Edison; his sister, Monika Stewart; and his nieces and nephews, Melanie, Dominic, Keegan, Olivia, Dahmiere, Catalina, Kai, Anarion, Danarion, and Shania.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother Fennie, grandfather Robert, stepfather Roe, and cousin Tevin.
The family of Torri Stewart thanks you for your prayers and compassion during this difficult time.
