Vicki J. Carnicle, 71 of Dubuque died Saturday, January 24, 2026. The will be no public services.

Vicki was born March 31, 1954, daughter of Dean and Lylas (Amling) Carnicle.

She graduated from Dubuque Wahlert and Clarke College (now Clarke University).

She worked as a nurse at Mercy Medical Center before her retirement. As she was always babysitting, she took care of a great number of kids in her lifetime.

Vicki loved reading and could be found most days with her nose in a book. She also enjoyed sewing and volunteered with the Dubuque Senior Colorguard , helping create costumes and flags during the years her niece was on the team.

She is survived by her step-father, Harold Hines of Dubuque; two sisters, Toni (Dale) Linden of Dubuque and Kim Hines of Dubuque; and a niece Samantha (Ryan) Lammers of Dubuque.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
