Violet E. Sheean
Violet E. Sheean, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Ahva Living Center in East Dubuque.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2026 at St. Mary’s Church in East Dubuque, with Fr. Bosco Aruldoss officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.
There will be no public visitation. The Miller Funeral Home of East Dubuque is serving the family.
Violet was born in Fairplay, Wisconsin, the daughter of Raymond and Estella (Leibold) Sheean on January 3, 1923. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s School in East Dubuque and St. Joseph Academy in Dubuque, Iowa. She worked at Durant & Bergquist Architects until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish and its Altar & Rosary Society.
Surviving are nieces, Jacqueline Meyer, Ada Hale, Pamela Sheean, Debra (John) Tully, Dona Oberfoell, and many cousins.

Violet was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jack and Patrick, sisters Corrine De Gear and Jeanne Randell, and nephew, Frank Meyer.
