William “Bill” Findley, age 48, of Bellevue, Iowa, passed away on January 12, 2026.

Bill was born on September 24, 1977, in Houston, Texas, to Will and Susan (Hurley) Findley. After many years in Texas, he later made his home in Bellevue, IA, where he met the love of his life. Bill married Bobbie (Schumacher) Findley on July 4, 2008. They had two children, Max and Penelope Findley. Bill found his greatest fulfillment in being a husband and father.  His desire to provide for his family led him to pursue continued education and earn his MBA from the University of Dubuque. He was most recently employed as a Data Scientist at Kyndryl.

Bill was known for his generosity and willingness to help others. He never hesitated to step in when someone needed support, including helping his parents on the farm and caring for his grandmother during her final days. Bill was deeply devoted to his children, nieces, and nephews. He took a genuine interest in their lives and enjoyed spoiling them. More than anything, hewanted the people in his life to be happy and taken care of.

He lived life on his own terms, pursuing a wide range of interests and remaining unapologetically himself throughout. Those who knew Bill will remember his quick wit and unmistakable sense of humor. He always had a funny comment or sharp observation ready, often delivered with a laugh that was as contagious as it was unforgettable. His authenticity, kindness, and humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Bill is survived by his wife, Bobbie Findley; his children, Max and Penelope Findley; his parents, Will and Susan Findley; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Dennis and Marie Schumacher; his brother, James (Gia) Findley; his sisters-in-law, Sabrina Schumacher (Nick Nemmers), Brooke Schumacher (Andy Roberts), Katie Schumacher (Justin Veach), Samantha Schumacher (Josh Kerr); and this nieces and nephews, David, Daniel, Gemma, Jake, Jadyn, Samson, Charlie, Hank, Frankie, Lexi, Cole, Ariani, Gretta, Delia, Cameron, Cadence, Teylor,Benjamin, and Oliver.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill and Mary Hurley, James Walton Findley, and Eileen Findley.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Horizon Lanes in Bellevue, Iowa. Local arrangements are being handled by Hachmann-Mier Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Bellevue.
