Cindy L. Perry

Cindy L. Perry, age 62, of Worthington, Iowa, completed her earthly journey on August 17, 2020, at home, surrounded by her loving family. To honor Cindy’s life, a private family service is being held at a later date, we will let family know when. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Cindy’s family.

Cindy was born on December 9, 1957, in Maquoketa, Iowa, one of two daughters to Clifford and Blanche (Manning) Massey. She eventually met her soul-mate, Allen Perry, and the two were married 3 months later. They were blessed with 3 children, 11 grandchildren and 42 wonderful years together. Cindy devoted her entire life to loving and nurturing her family. Not only was she an adoring wife and mother, but Cindy also found joy in taking every opportunity to help raise many other children just as her own. Her free-time was occupied with many hobbies throughout the years. Countless hours were spent researching and recording family genealogy, while some time creating another quilt, or sitting contently and working on a craft were acceptable outlets as well. Also, any activity where she could be surrounded by family and friends would bring Cindy great satisfaction. Camping, while relaxing in the outdoors was among her favorites, along with sitting at the table working on a new puzzle, or trying her talents with a little friendly competition on a board game or cards. But, honestly, for Cindy it was simply about family. She didn’t care how, when, or where; just as long as they were by her side. The legacy of memories she leaves behind will surely bring us peace and healing in time, but for now, we must allow our hearts to ache and break as they do. We will strive to catch even a glimpse of the aroma of her fresh bread in our dreams now and pray for peace in all of our lives until we see her again. Thank you, Cindy, for being the wonderful example of unconditional love we all search for at times in our lives and may your eternal rewards for your loving kindness be as lofty as your mission was.

Those left behind to cherish the memory of Cindy include,

her husband,
Allen Perry, Worthington, Iowa;

her children,
Tracy (Bill III) Moore, West Des Moines, Iowa,
Joe (Lanette) Perry, Onlsow, Iowa,
and Chris (Michelle) Perry, Monticello, Iowa;

her grandchildren,
Garrett Moore, Sam Moore, Logan Moore, Brandi Perry, Meagan Perry, Jacob Perry, Isaac Perry, Lukas Perry, and Matthew Perry;

her mother and father-in-law, Dwain and Delores Perry, Worthington, Iowa;

along with numerous extended family, friends, and neighbors.

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Bev (Don) Skoff; 2 grandchildren in infancy; and a niece, Ashley.

Cindy’s family would like to thank Dr. Hermann, along with the nurses and staff at Hospice of Dubuque, for all of their professional and compassionate care and support.

For the comfort of the family, food, flowers, cards, and all other expressions of sympathy may be sent to Chris and Michelle Perry at 629 North Birch St, Monticello IA, 52310, and we thank you in advance for your kindness.

Dell Junior Robinson

Dell Junior Robinson, age 31, of Dubuque, passed away at 6:15 p.m., on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at MercyOne Medical Center, with his loving family by his side. To celebrate Dell’s life, private family services were held. Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street, is in charge of arrangements.

Dell was born on November 14, 1988, in Chicago, Illinois, son of Del Stepp and Darlene Robinson.

Dell was born and raised in Chicago before moving to Dubuque where he would make his permanent home. He grew up fast and began working to help support his family at the tender age of 8. He started out pumping gas at the local station and when he turned 10, he was excited to go to work for his godmother at her candy store. Dell was always very motivated. He was a self taught mechanic whom many trusted to work on their vehicles, and he had aspirations of one day owning his own auto shop. Cars were his true passion and he loved tinkering with his own truck practically daily. Dell was extremely generous with his time and treasure, earning him the nickname “Doe” among his family and friends. He found great joy in helping others, even strangers he would encounter on family vacations. Dell was a hard worker and an excellent role model for not only his own children, but also for his nieces and nephews. We will miss him more than words can say!
