Stefani R. Ganzer

Stefani R. Ganzer, 30, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and formerly of Andrew, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 30, 2020, near Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

A private family service and visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Cremation will follow the services.

Stefani Reneé Ganzer was born on March 22, 1990 in Dubuque, Iowa, to Brian John and Lori Michel (Millwright) Ganzer. She was a 2008 graduate of Andrew High School and then went to the University of Iowa where she received a degree in Economics in 2012.

Stefani had first worked for Cottinham and Butler in Dubuque as an administrative assistant. She then moved to Milwaukee where she recently obtained her real estate license and was currently working as a server and bartender. She was engaged to be married on October 17, 2020 to her fiancé, Jerod Haldin.

Stefani loved the outdoors and hiking, and spending time with her family especially watching Lifetime Channel movie marathons with her mom. She also loved Lord of the Rings, cooking, and her dog Bilbo.

Those left to honor Stefani’s memory include her fiancé, Jerod Haldin of Milwaukee, WI; her parents, Lori (Pete “Zip” Gebhart) Ganzer of LaMotte, IA, and Brian (Sheryl) Ganzer of Preston, IA; a brother Mitchell (Lauren) Ganzer of Platteville, WI; a niece Josefine Ann Ganzer; maternal grandparents, Jerry and Donna Millwright of LaMotte, IA; and paternal grandmother, Karen Ganzer of Spragueville, IA; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal great-grandparents, and her paternal grandfather Richard Ganzer.

Charlie Leirmoe-Kaiser

Charlie Leirmoe-Kaiser, 59 of Dubuque Iowa, a woman of great strength, love and compassion, passed away peacefully on May 29th at Methodist Hospital, Rochester MN.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 4th, 2020 at Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Rev. Matt Agee officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Linwood Cemetery. For those unable to attend, the funeral service will be live streamed on the funeral home Facebook page at 7:00 p.m. Thursday. For those attending the visitation, we remind you to practice the social distancing guidelines that have been set for us.

She was born on August 21st, 1960 daughter of Bonnie (LePert) and Curt Leirmoe in Dubuque Iowa. She married Ken Kaiser on May 2nd, 1997 at Eagle Point Park in Dubuque.

Charlie graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1978. Right out of high school, she began working for the Iowa Conservation (YACC), which led her to her true passion of working in Yellowstone Park where she made a lifelong ‘sistahood’ of friends.
Charlie worked at FDL for many years before she began her job working for the city of Dubuque. Charlie could be seen driving her gator around the Plaza, but it wasn’t a job to her, it was what she enjoyed, she had the greenest thumb you’d ever see. She cared deeply for those she grew to know in the plaza, she took care of each and every one of them, especially the dogs, as they knew in her gator was a box of treats just waiting for them.
She never knew a stranger, every person she met was a friend, they were family. She always greeted you with a smile and an extended hand, no matter who you were.

Charlie loved spending time with family and friends and especially her dogs and cat. She was a jokester, a caregiver, the boss. From the firework gatherings at her house, a call on your birthday to sing to you or dropping off flowers from her garden to those she felt needed to be uplifted. Outdoors/gardening was her passion and she loved sharing them with everyone. She always looked out for that stray cat or dog and made sure she got them all to safety and home.

All those who knew or met Charlie learned from her, as she said ‘give that smile or eye contact to that stranger, it could be lifesaving or life changing, what that person or you need’.

Charlie fought breast cancer since May 2001, but she never allowed it to define who she was. She lived each day as she wanted, on her terms, to the fullest and watched every sunrise and sunset.

She was greeted in Heaven by her son Gaylin Leirmoe , her two grandsons Jack and Gage Leirmoe, her parents, her sister Sandy Leirmoe, Uncle Frankie LePert, her grandparents, her mother and father in law Mert and Jane Kaiser, nephew JT Kaiser and many cousins, aunts and uncles.

Those left to carry on her Legacy are her husband Ken Kaiser, brother Gary (Patricia) Leirmoe of Elk River MN, Lisa (Rick) Maiers of Dubuque, her step daughter Amanda Kaiser of Dubuque and many nieces, nephews, cousins and family. She was an amazing wife, mother, ‘Ma, sister, Graunt, Aunt, friend and will be missed by so many.

The family would like to thank Dr. Herman, Toni, Sandy, Linda and all the girls at Great River Center Oncology. You all were her friends and she deeply cared for each of you. Thank you for taking such good care of her over the years.

Charlie – thanks for being that bright light, that guide in this life, we will continue your legacy on earth by a kind gesture to all we meet. You often said you were such a lucky person to have so many who cared for you, but truth is, we are the lucky ones to have had you in our life. Peace be with you sista, our love will go on forever and forever more – shine bright!

Thomas W. Bowling

Thomas W. “Tom” Bowling, 62, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa, Iowa.

At Peace Cremation Services have been provided by Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. A private family visitation was held.

Thomas William Bowling was born on January 18, 1958 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to George Junior and Elinor Mae (Beaman) Bowling. He was a graduate of Maquoketa High School. He married Martha Kay Eye on April 22, 1978 in Maquoketa, Iowa. Two children were born to this union, Eric William and Amanda Jo. Martha preceded him in death on May 26, 2009.

Tom had worked as an electrician for Stickley Electric in Maquoketa for 12 years and then for 20 years as a journeyman electrician for IBEW.

Tom loved to play all kinds of musical instruments and enjoyed entertaining his family. He also enjoyed being outdoors hunting, fishing and camping.

Those left to honor his memory include his children, Eric Bowling of Maquoketa, IA, and Amanda Jo Bowling of Fulton, IL; his fiancé, Tina Redshaw of Maquoketa, IA; his mother, Elinor Bowling of Maquoketa, IA; 6 grandchildren; a brother Everett (Brenda) Bowling of Maquoketa, IA; and a sister-in-law, Jeannie Bowling of Maquoketa, IA.

He was preceded in death by his father, wife Martha, and a brother Kenneth Bowling Sr.

Ruth E. (Humke) Hodgson

Ruth Emily (Humke) Hodgson, 97 went to be with the Lord on Friday May 29th, 2020 at Luther Manor in Dubuque, Iowa.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions there will be a private family memorial service at Grand View United Methodist Church Dubuque, IA.

Ruth was born on March 3, 1923 to Alice and Charles Humke in Dubuque, Iowa. On September 1, 1943 she married George Oliver Hodgson at Center Grove United Methodist Church. To that union came five children Sharon, Joyce, Glenn, Bill, and Ginny. They spent their entire lives farming on the Humke Family Farm.

Ruth loved the Lord, her Family, her church Family, music and quilting! She raised big gardens and numerous fruit trees. Summers were spent canning and freezing all of the produce for winter eating! She also loved to bake, especially bread and cookies! The aromas from her kitchen were glorious! She instilled a strong work ethic in her children for which we are all grateful. We enjoyed many Family camping trips over the years to many different states! Her love of music has been carried on in many of her children and she always enjoyed attending our many concerts. She was a lifelong member of Grand View United Methodist church where she was active in choir, quilting circle, teaching Sunday School and helping with the Youth League. Ruth was an excellent seamstress making many of our clothes and in later years became a Master Quilter! Besides the many quilts she helped with at church she pieced and hand quilted 75 quilts on her own!

Ruth is survived by her five children Sharon Halverson Boscobel, WI.; Joyce (Bill) Waters Peosta, IA; Glenn (Barb) Hodgson Dubuque, IA; Bill (Judy) Hodgson Bloomington MN; and Ginny (Fred) Base EauClaire, WI. Six Grandchildren Jennifer (Pat) Hromadka, Brian (Gina) Hodgson, Laura (Gil) Moran, Rebecca Halverson, Jacob Hodgson, and Adam Hodgson and her six Great Grandchildren Tristan, Addie, Kaci, and Levi Hodgson and Ethan and Dylan Moran and Baby Girl Moran on the way. She is further survived by many dear nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years George Hodgson, her parents, Charles and Alice Humke, her three brothers Milton, Warren, and Alvin and their spouses, and her son-in-law Roger Halverson.

Ruth D. Huebbe

Ruth D. Huebbe, 87, of Baldwin, Iowa, passed away on Friday morning, May 29, 2020, at her son Darrell’s home in rural Maquoketa.

A celebration of her life will be held at 2:30 P.M., Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 P.M. on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be at Hickory Grove Cemetery, rural Monmouth, Iowa.

Ruth Delores Scott was born on November 6, 1932 in Jackson County, Iowa, to George Sr. and Augusta (Peters) Scott. She was a 1949 graduate of Maquoketa High School. She married Harry J. Huebbe on August 20, 1953 in Andrew, Iowa. To this union three children were born, Harold, Darrell and Brenda.

Ruth had farmed all of her life, raising hogs, cattle and dairy farming. She had also worked at Community Helping Hands in Maquoketa, and lastly cleaned houses for the elderly.

Ruth was a former member of the Emeline Ladies Aid. She enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables, and crocheting.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Harry J. Huebbe of Baldwin, IA; children, Harold (Cathy) Huebbe of Maquoketa, IA, Darrell Huebbe of Maquoketa, IA, and Brenda (Ed “Kleater”) Beidler of Maquoketa, IA; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; and brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elmer and Rachel Huebbe of Maquoketa, IA and Phyllis Scott of Maquoketa, IA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother George “Sonny” Scott Jr.

Sherry Follman Brimeyer

Sherry Follman Brimeyer, 74, of Asbury, died Friday, May 29, 2020, at her home.

Sherry was born December 25, 1945, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Frank and Ethel Simpson Follman. In 1966, she married Dave Brimeyer in Texas.

She graduated from Dubuque Senior High School in 1964 and later continued her education at the University of Dubuque.

She worked in management for Northwesten Bell Phone Company for 25 years, she enjoyed an early retirement in 1989.

Sherry was an avid Chicago Cub fan, Iowa Hawkeye fan, and anything that Nicholas and Noah did. She also enjoyed going to Dubuque Fighting Saints games with her husband, as long as he behaved himself.

Survivors include loving husband, Dave Brimeyer; niece Amy (Nate) Bradley of North Liberty and their children Noah, Nicholas, and Maya; and her sister, Cynthia Hamilton of Dubuque, IA.

She was welcomed into heaven by her special nephew Jeff Loney; her parents; and sister Sandra Lueck.

Mary L. Hartley Hantelmann

Mary L. Hartley Hantelmann, 92, of Maquoketa, and formerly of Dubuque, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, May 23, 2020 at Jackson County Regional Health Center in Maquoketa.

A private family graveside service and burial will be held at Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque, Iowa. Cremation has taken place. There will be no public visitation or service.

Mary Louise Marihart was born October 1, 1927 in Dubuque, Iowa, to Earl and Freda (Lindenberg) Marihart.

She was a 1945 graduate of Dubuque Senior High School. Mary lived in Dubuque her whole life until moving to the Maquoketa Care Center in Maquoketa, IA in 2017.

Mary had the good fortune to be married to two City of Dubuque firemen. She married Milton Robert Hartley June 28, 1947.  He preceded her in death on November 7, 1987.  She later married Leroy James Hantelmann November 11,1989. He preceded in death January 20, 2002.

Mary loved to dance. She and Milt were proud members of the Gold Rush Square Dance Club.  Later, she and Roy enjoyed dancing with their friends at many tri state area venues.  In her later years, Mary enjoyed volunteering at the Unity Point Finley Hospital where she received special recognition for surpassing 100 hours for her auxiliary work.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Karen Thorson of Maquoketa, IA, and Nancy (Matt) Stone of Bettendorf, IA; step-children, Roger (Judy) Hantelmann, Jane (Morton) Lane, Sandy Macey, Kay Konrardy and Barb (Don) Leik; 4 grandchildren, Emily (Robert) Deschner, Eric (Whitney) Thorson, Marley Stone, and Jeffrey Stone; 2 great-grandchildren, Kara Deschner and Dean Thorson; 15 step-grandchildren, 32 step-great-grandchildren, and 6 step-great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milton and her husband Leroy, and a sister Ruthann Turnquist.

Lutgarda D. Tunque

Lutgarda Damaso Tunque, 81, of Dubuque, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020, at home.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, June 5, at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 John F. Kennedy Rd. The family kindly requests that current public health guidelines be observed. Lutgarda was born September 7, 1938 in the city of  Morong, Philippines, the daughter of Isidro and Francisca (Delos Santos) Damaso. She married Nestor Tunque.

Lutgarda is survived by her husband, Nestor; her children, Leonor, Joel (Elenita), Neil (Concerna) and Sidney (Rosemarie); her daughter in law, Belinda; and her grandchildren, Melissa Mae, Allysa Mae, Aldrin, John Jobie, Jodie Grace, Brian,  Nelrose, Neil Patrick, and Neildrin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Nelson Tunque.

Andrew M. Loeffelholz

Andrew M. “Andy” Loeffelholz, 64, of Potosi, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at home. A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020, at Hickory Hill Park in Potosi.  Friends may call from 1-2:45 p.m. Saturday at the park before the service.  Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is assisting the family.

Andy was born on April 21, 1956, in Lancaster, Wisconsin, the son of Daniel and Beulah (Droessler) Loeffelholz.  He married Kim Stratton on October 22, 1977.  Andy graduated from Potosi High School and received an associate’s degree from Southwest Wisconsin Technical College in Fennimore.  He worked at Schaefer Tire in Potosi for 23 years and John Deere Dubuque Tractor Works for the last 20 years.

Andy was an avid deer hunter.  He loved history, especially anything related to World War II or the space program.  Andy was fascinated by airplanes and enjoyed air shows.  A man who loved to tinker, he would fix anything for anyone.  Family was very important to him and he would do anything for them.

Survivors include his wife, Kim, Potosi; a daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Emanuel Kitoi, Madison, WI; two grandchildren, Lyla and Samuel; five sisters, Nancy (Gene) Jaworski, Ypsilanti, MI, Judy (Steve) Smith, Petaluma, CA, Joan (Pat) Meyer, East Dubuque, IL, Paula (Glenn) Bartelme, Platteville, and Rachael (Tom) Henke, Potosi; and a brother, Stephen (Sharon) Loeffelholz, Bellevue, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Mary Riegler.

Eric D. Abresch

Eric D. Abresch 53, of Dubuque, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2020 at the Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home and Crematory, 2659 JFK Rd. with Deacon Mike Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.

Eric was born on August 29, 1966 in Iowa City, IA, the son of David and Kay (Vorwald) Abresch. He graduated from Central Alternative high school and attended the University of Dubuque. Eric moved to Colorado and was employed in the meat processing industry. He later relocated to Buda, TX to join his brother Michael in the construction of cabinets. Eric has resided in Dubuque since 2011. He enjoyed biking, fishing and all subjects having to do with space science.

Surviving are his mother, Kay of Dubuque; his brother Michael (Ilda) Abresch of Buda, TX; his nephews Eric and Matthew Flores, Michael Abresch Jr. and David and Jacob Abresch; his niece Jessica Flores and many uncles and aunts.

He was preceded in death by his father, David and his brother Donald.

An Eric Abresch memorial fund has been established.

Lynda R. Lee

Lynda R. Lee, 60, of Dubuque, died Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at the MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center in Dubuque.

Lynda was born May 6, 1960, in Dubuque, the daughter of Richard and Jacqueline Oswald Schneider.

She worked for many years as a caregiver at Dubuque Area Residential Care Facility.  She volunteered for many organizations including the Humane Society, Battered Women’s Crisis Line and other programs through ARC.

Survivors include two sons, Matt (Erin) Fossum of Dubuque, and Mike Fossum of Sioux City; one daughter, Melissa Bremer of Dubuque; five grandchildren; one sister, Debbie Croft of Dubuque; two brothers, Scott (Karen) Schneider of Dubuque, and Daniel (Ginger) Levi of Louisanna.

She was preceded in death by her mother.

Dr. David J. Lange

Dr. David J. Lange D.D.S., 64, of Dubuque, died Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at the MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center.

Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM Monday June 1, 2020, at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Cremation Service 3860 Asbury Road.

The Funeral Service for David will be 11:00 AM Monday, June 1, 2020, at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Cremation Service with  officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque.

David was born March 23, 1956, in Dubuque, the son of Dorrance John and Shirley Ann Breithaupt Lange.

He attended University of Iowa Dental School where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1983.

He owned and operated Southwest Dental in Dickeyville, Wisconsin for 35 years.

He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed traveling. Most of all he enjoyed being a dentist.

Survivors include four cousins, Sally Arensdorf of Cedar Rapids, Lorie Kascel of Cedar Rapids, Lynn Lange of Dubuque, and Jamie Brazier of Sun Prairie, WI; friends and coworkers, Jessica (James) Benn of Dickeyville, WI, and Beth (Scott) Gerlich of Danbury, WI.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

James C. Lau

James Clark “Doc” Lau, 81, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away on May 25, 2020, at Dubuque Specialty Care. Private family graveside service will be at Paint Rock Cemetery, in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Leonard Funeral Home & Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Road, is assisting the family

James was born on September 13, 1938 to Gordon and Opal (Phelps) Lau where he grew up on the family farm in Waterville, Iowa. He married Mary Martelle on November 28, 1959 at St. Anne’s Church, Harpers Ferry.

Worked for the Dubuque Packing Company for many years and at the Mines of Spain until retirement.

He was an Assistant Scout Master for Key West Troop 69 with his 3 sons. He enjoyed the outdoors especially hiking, fishing, he also enjoyed playing euchre and spending time with his family.

Survivors: sons, Randy (Peggy) Lau, of Winona, MN, Russell (Barbara) Lau, of Dubuque, and Brian (fiancé Val Voshell) Lau, of Dubuque. Six grandchildren Kelly (Josh) Hetzel, Katie Lau, Jesse (Leah) Lau, Alexandra Lau, Joshua (Laura) Lau, John (Aimee) Lau; five step-grandchildren Derek Sorensen, Silvana Proto, Joe Proto, Lindsay Derrig, and Emily Voshell; twelve great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. Brother: Dave (Pat) Lau; sisters-in-law Arlene Lau, Davene Lau and Marlys Martelle. Many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brothers Don, Gerald, and Curtis.

Arliss C. Weber

Arliss C. Weber, 82, of Epworth, IA, passed away Monday, May 25, 2020, at Unity Point Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa.

Because of the unprecedented conditions in our country right now, a traditional services will not be held at this time. A private family visitation will be held for Arliss on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at Reiff Funeral Home in Epworth, Iowa, with Mason, Rick Bowersox presiding. Private burial will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, Illinois, on Friday, May 29, 2020. Arliss was born on November 5, 1937 in Havana, North Dakota son of Richard and Elvera (Mekshes) Weber. He received his education from United Township High School in East Moline, IL. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Marine Corp. 1955-1975 as a Gunnery SGT., during the Vietnam War, he was also involved in the Lebanon and Cuban Missile Crisis. On July 27, 1957, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Duke, at East Moline United Methodist Church in East Moline, IL. He was retired by Bituminous Insurance Company in Rock Island, IL.

He was a member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Disabled Veterans (DAV), Marine Corps League, Master Mason, York Rite, Royal Arch Masons, Scottish Rite, Ye Antient Order of Corks, Grand Commandery Knights Templar of Texas, Red Cross of Constantine and Shrine. He was also the grand representative of Iowa near Texas for the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Texas.

He is survived by his wife of over 62 years, Trish Weber of Epworth, IA; one daughter, Deb (Bill) Gauley; two grandsons, Mike (Sarah) Gauley and Matt (Rae) Gauley; one great grandson, Grant Gauley; three great granddaughters, Piper, Mila, and Skye Gauley; three sisters, Arlene Griswold, Lorraine Young and Josephine (Dick) Burns.

He is also preceded in death by his parents, one son, Michael Weber; three brothers, Roland Weber, Dan Mekshes and John Weber; three sisters, Sue Marlar, Gail Diamond and Marlene Weber.

Shirley J. Runde

Shirley J. (Krohn) Runde, 81, of East Dubuque, IL, passed away on Sunday afternoon, May 24, 2020. She died at home surrounded by her family.

A Private Family Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 (Noon) Friday, May 29, 2020 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at Sinsinawa, WI, with Fr. Peter Snieg officiating. Burial will be in the East Dubuque Cemetery.

Public visitation is from 9:30 – 11:45 a.m. on Friday at St. Joseph’s Church, Sinsinawa. Social distancing rules will be followed. The Miller Funeral Home of East Dubuque is serving the family.

Shirley was born on June 11, 1938 in Grant County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Elmer and Martha (Russell) Krohn.  She graduated valedictorian of Potosi, WI, High School, class of 1956.  She was united in marriage to Paul J. Runde on February 8, 1958 at St. Raphael’s Cathedral in Dubuque, IA.

Shirley was formerly the co-owner of Runde Chevrolet.  She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish and its Altar & Rosary Society. Shirley was devoted to her family and a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In her free time, Shirley loved gardening, restoring furniture, remodeling and antiquing.

Surviving are six children, Ron (Sylvie) Runde, Nancy (Jim) Puls, and Mike Runde(Friend Becky Reed) all of East Dubuque, Tim (Heather) Runde of Dubuque, Jeff (Cheryl) Runde and Greg (Julie) Runde both of East Dubuque; 11-grandchildren, Nicole Meisenburg, Jacob, Jared and Jonah Puls, Chancler, Sophia, Gustav, Keeli, Franchesca, Harrison, and Ella Runde; five great-grandchildren, Morgan and Cael Patters, Bo Puls, Libby and Scarlet Runde, her siblings, Gerald and Gordon Krohn, Adele Merfeld, Judy (Larry) Ames, Elmer Krohn, Beverly (Dennis) Broughton, Peggy (Duane) Hansen, Randall (Sharon) Krohn and Cheryl (Jerry) Parsons.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer & Martha; a granddaughter Amelia Runde and siblings, John Dale Krohn, Debbie Kay Krohn and four infant brothers (deceased at birth), sister-in-law Ruth Krohn and brother-in-law Larry Merfeld.

Shirley’s family wishes to give thanks to the the nurses and staff at Mercy One-Dubuque Cardio/Vascular Unit, members of 24-Hour Care, Hospice of Dubuque and the support given by family and friends.
