Celebrate National Voter Education Week

From October 6-10, 2025, we celebrate National Voter Education Week, which is a perfect time to highlight the incredible resources available to help Iowans understand and participate in our democratic process.

For Educators: Our Elections 101 curriculum was created by Iowa teachers specifically for Iowa classrooms. This comprehensive online resource breaks down exactly how elections work in our state, giving educators the tools they need to prepare informed citizens.

For All Iowans: Need to understand the voting process? Our detailed voting process videos take you step-by-step through Iowa’s election procedures, covering everything from registration to casting your ballot.

For Young Voters: Through our Carrie Chapman Catt program, we’re working directly with high schools across Iowa to register eligible students and prepare them for their first voting experience. Named after Iowa’s own suffrage leader, this youth initiative ensures the next generation is ready to make their voices heard.

Knowledge is the foundation of democracy. This #NationalVoterEducationWeek, explore these resources, share them with others, and help build a more informed Iowa.
