County Announces Second Round of Opioid Settlement Funding Opportunities to Expand Treatment, Prevention, and Recovery Services

The Dubuque County Public Health Department is announcing a second round of funding opportunities to continue addressing the opioid crisis and strengthening access to treatment, prevention, and recovery services across the community. These investments are supported through the county’s allocation of opioid settlement funds.

Dubuque County Public Health has released Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for:

  • Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Services, focused on expanding access to evidence-based treatment for individuals with opioid use disorder.
  • General Community-Based Services, supporting a range of initiatives including evidence-based prevention, harm reduction, recovery support, and community outreach.

This second round of funding builds on initial investments and offers organizations another opportunity to apply for support to expand or sustain critical services.

Applications for both funding opportunities are now open and must be submitted by May 1, 2026. Organizations interested in applying can find more information and application materials at: https://www.dubuquecountyiowa.gov/Bids.aspx?CatID=20&txtSort=Category&showAllBids=&Status=open

“These investments represent a critical step forward in how we respond to the opioid crisis at the local level,” said Allie White, Public Health Director. “Every dollar from the opioid settlement is being directed toward saving lives, expanding access to treatment, and strengthening recovery in our community.”

The Public Health Department encourages eligible organizations and community partners to apply and be part of a coordinated, community-wide response to the opioid epidemic.
