Dubuque School District Voters Reminded to Vote Today

Dubuque Community School District voters are reminded to make their voices heard today, Tuesday, September 8, in the special election for the Dubuque Community School Board and a proposed Physical Plant and Equipment Levy (PPEL).

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters who live within the Dubuque Community School District may vote at any of the following vote centers:

  • Tri-State Blind — 1068 Cedar Cross Road
  • Resurrection Catholic Church — 4300 Asbury Road
  • Summit Congregational Church — 2885 JF Kennedy Road
  • Bread of Life Church — 2155 University Avenue
  • U.A.W. Local 94 Union Hall — 3450 Central Avenue
  • Sacred Heart Church Basement — 2215 Windsor Avenue
  • Holy Trinity Church — 1700 Lincoln Avenue
  • St. John’s Parish House — 1401 Locust Street
  • Fogarty Hall Center — 1240 Rush Street
  • Asbury City Hall — 5290 Grand Meadow Drive
  • Dubuque County West Campus — 1225 Seippel Road

Important: Comiskey Park, 255 E. 24th Street, is no longer available as a vote center because of construction.

The election includes a race to fill a vacancy on the Dubuque Community School Board and a vote on renewing the district’s Physical Plant and Equipment Levy, which provides funding for school infrastructure, equipment, repairs and improvements.

If you are eligible to vote in the Dubuque Community School District, today is Election Day — make your voice heard.
