The Ohnward Fine Arts Center – Maquoketa, IA presents:

The 22nd Annual Maquoketa Community Christmas – Festival of Trees
Beginning Saturday, November 15, through Sunday, November 30, 2025

Open Monday thru Friday 10 am to 4 pm and weekends Noon to 4 PM.

The Ohnward Fine Arts Center is planning our 22nd Festival of Trees now known as The Maquoketa Community Christmas. Last year, we had such a wonderful response to our festival — with bidding on creative trees and beautiful wreaths, and LIVE theatre entertainment.  Our goal again this year is to create a holiday atmosphere to be enjoyed by all those attending the many functions that will be held at the Center. The proceeds will go to the Ohnward Fine Arts Center.

Trees and wreaths will be featured at the Fine Arts Center starting Saturday November 14th through Sunday November 29th.   The Center will be open Monday thru Friday 10 am to 4 pm and weekends Noon to 4 PM.

This year we would like to continue to help support your business with your donations to Ohnward’s Community Christmas. You can bring in a decorated tree or wreath. We also accept themed baskets, a centerpiece for a table, and even something for outside.

Please contact Ohnward at 563-652-9815 for any items donated to the Community Christmas by Wednesday October 28 between 9 am and 1 pm. And all items should be delivered by Ohnward by 1 PM on Wednesday November 11 at 1 PM.

During the Ohnward’s Community Christmas all who visit can register for a Christmas basket. The winning name will be drawn on the last day of the event.  We also have a Mickey Mouse raffle tree that you could win.  Chances are just $1 each or 6 for $5.

We will be having a bake sale this year. This bake sale will be on November 21 and 22; also, on November 28 and 29. Someone will be at Ohnward each of those days starting at 11 am to drop off your baked items.  Please donate any Christmas treat you would like to share. With all the food allergies in our world, please be mindful and add a card with ingredients for potential allergens.

If you are short on time to decorate a tree or wreath of your own, we can do it for you! You will be able to select from our custom trees and wreaths made by Ohnward’s Artisans. Fewer trees and wreaths are available.

All the proceeds from the silent auction of sponsored and donated OFAC items help to ensure that Ohnward Fine Arts Center’s 841-seat theatre will remain operational for future generations.

Available again this year you can purchase a Holiday Family Gift Pass.  This pass offers you four passes (tickets) to any of our future Ohnward Fine Arts Center productions. Easy to use and you save money!  Each Holiday Family Gift Pass is just $110.  THEY NEVER EXPIRE!!!  Simply call 563-652-9815 between 9 AM and 1 PM or just stop into the Ohnward Fine Arts Center at 1215 E. Platt Street in Maquoketa to order yours today!

This year we are offering more opportunities for participation. We encourage you to bring in decorated trees and wreaths.  You will be able to demonstrate your creativity and talents. If you are short on time to decorate a tree or wreath of your own, we can do it for you! You will be able to select from our custom trees and wreaths made by Ohnward’s Artisans.

Volunteers are always needed for a 2-hour shift during the Community Christmas event. You will be assisting people, selling raffle tickets, and just talking with the guests that come. You can always do more than just one shift.  Please contact Ohnward at 563-652-9815 for a time, if you are interested.

All the proceeds from the silent auction of sponsored and donated OFAC items help to ensure that Ohnward Fine Arts Center’s 841-seat theatre will remain operational for future generations.

The Ohnward board of directors is excited about our changes and looking forward to seeing you at Ohnward’s community Christmas.

Interested in sponsoring a tree or wreath? It’s easy.  You can call Ohnward at 563-652-9815 anytime, or stop by on Sunday, November 8^th from 9 am and 3 pm; and November 9^th from 9 am to 6 pm.  All trees and wreaths will be on the lobby just looking for a sponsor.
