UnityPoint Clinic is pleased to announce that Jill Powers, DO, has been named Medical Director for UnityPoint Clinic in Dubuque, effective July 12.

In this role, Dr. Powers will provide clinical and operational leadership for more than 40 physicians and advanced practice providers serving patients throughout the Dubuque region. As Medical Director, she will help guide strategic initiatives, support provider engagement, and advance the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across UnityPoint Clinic.

Dr. Powers brings more than 15 years of clinical and physician leadership experience to the position. A respected internal medicine physician, she has cared for patients in the Dubuque community since 2009. She joined UnityPoint Clinic in 2025 through the integration of Grand River Medical Group, where she previously served on the organization’s Executive Committee.

Throughout her career, Dr. Powers has demonstrated a strong commitment to physician leadership and community health. She has served as Chief of Staff at Finley Hospital and held numerous leadership positions with the Dubuque Medical Society, including serving as President. Her proven ability to lead teams, foster collaboration, and advocate for high-quality patient care makes her exceptionally well-suited for this role.

Dr. Powers earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Augustana College and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Des Moines University. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Iowa Methodist Medical Center through its residency program affiliated with the University of Iowa.
