UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital welcomed 70 babies in August, making it the busiest month for births at the hospital in nearly a decade. The total marks the highest number of babies born in a single month since September 2017, when 86 babies were delivered.

The record-breaking stretch continued into September, with one set of twins born on each of three dates: August 28, September 6 and September 8. Typically, Finley welcomes just 6 sets of twins per year.

Finley Hospital’s maternity services provide care for families throughout pregnancy, labor and delivery, and the postpartum period. The hospital welcomed 423 babies since January, continuing a strong year for births at Finley.
