Students curious about a future in health care will have the opportunity to discover career paths, meet professionals and gain hands-on insight during Career Exploration Day on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 9:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at UnityPoint Health – Finley Hospital.

High school students ages 16 and older from Hempstead High School, Dubuque Online High School, Alta Vista Campus and Wahlert High School will be bussed to and from the event, where they will get the chance connect with a variety of healthcare professionals from a variety of specialties including:

• • Radiology
  • Lab
  • Therapy (Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy)
  • Nursing (Med/Surg)
  • Emergency Department

There will also be a panel discussion with a doctor, nurse and therapist; a Stop the Bleed demonstration; and networking opportunities with directors, C-suite executives and members of the recruitment team.
