Adam R. Strickland, age 46, of Sherrill, Iowa, completed his earthly journey suddenly on October 11, 2026, at home.  To honor Adam’s life, a private family service is being held.  The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Adam’s family.

Adam was born on April 8, 1980, in Dubuque, IA, a son to Richard W. “Dick” Strickland and Shayne E. Hoffman.  He was gifted with a kind heart and generous soul which has sadly been called home much too early for those who knew and loved him.

Adam worked various construction jobs after high school and eventually went on to earn his AA from Lake Superior College and his BA from the College of Saint Scholastica, both in Duluth, MN.  He always valued education and he faithfully invested into his degrees. Adam worked various positions throughout his working career and thankfully found moments of joy and satisfaction in each new adventure he faced.

In his free-time, Adam could usually be found playing video games and watching anime. He could also be found daily caring for the goats.  Adam was intrinsically suited to be good with kids and his nieces and nephews enjoyed every moment they were able to spend with him.  Adam had a good heart combined with an easy-going spirit which kept life as uncomplicated as possible in the areas which he truly embraced.

We are going to miss Adam after his sudden absence from our lives and will forever treasure each and every good memory he leaves behind.  Thank you, Adam, for reminding us to appreciate every day and every opportunity we have to walk in this world as only God knows which one will be our last.  We will miss and love you until we all meet again and may the Lord grant you eternal peace now as we must tragically say farewell for now.
