Alex E. Billmeyer, age 29, of Dubuque, was called home unexpectedly on Sunday, May 26, 2019. To honor Alex’s life, a celebration will be held by his family on Saturday, June 8, 2019, from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m., at Eagle Point Park, 2601 Shiras Avenue.

Alex was born on July 26, 1989, in Dubuque, Iowa, son of Kevin and Carmen (Pline) Billmeyer.

Alex attended school in Dubuque, and was most recently employed with Wendy’s. He was a kind person with a huge heart and everyone knew they could count on him if they needed help, no matter the time of day or night. Alex enjoyed many hobbies in his free time including fishing whenever he could, playing basketball, and most importantly spending time with his sons. He had a great appreciation of music, especially rap music. Alex was well known for his love of making his friends and family laugh any chance he could, and for his complete honesty, a character trait they will all deeply miss. We will miss you Alex, but are thankful for all of the wonderful memories we have and will cherish forever.
