Arnold B. “Bruce” Pfalzgraf passed away March 18, 2026, at Stonehill Care Center, with his daughter by his side.

In keeping with his wishes, private family services were held.

Bruce was born on November 2, 1938 to Ernest and Helen (Carpenter) Pfalzgraf in Dubuque, IA.
He was united in marriage to Catherine “Katy” (Milligan) on October 17, 1970 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Dubuque.

Bruce was employed as a welder at John Deere Dubuque Works for 32 years, until retiring in 1994.
After high school, Bruce enlisted in the United States Navy.

Bruce enjoyed camping, fastpitch softball, bowling, and golf. He also enjoyed cheering on the Chicago Cubs and made several trips to Chicago to watch them play.

Bruce is survived by his daughter, Vicki (Steve Lyster) Pfalzgraf of Platteville, WI; his grandchildren, Tyler (Nicole) Kleiner, and Cole (Morgan Wiegel) Kleiner; his bonus children whom he adored, Sheila (Charlie) Dimke of Galena, IL, Pam (Dan) Wiederholt of Long Grove, IA, Steve Roloff of Lancaster, WI, Diane (Don) Riedl of Sherrill, IA; grandchildren, Carrie (Robbie) Aristodemo, Jenny (Kevin) Hulsen, Jessica (Donovan Moser) Riedl, Kevin Riedl; 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a brother, Carl Pfalzgraf.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Katy; sisters, Arlene Winders and Beverly Wick; in-laws, Glen, Carol, and Joan.

Bruce’s family wishes to extend a special thank you to the incredible staff at Stonehill Care Center and Hospice of Dubuque for their caring and compassionate care.

The Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home and Crematory is entrusted with arrangements.
