Barbara Lee Krepfle, 85, of Dubuque, died Thursday, October 1, 2026, at MercyOne Dubuque Medical Center in Dubuque.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm Monday, October 5, 2026 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory.

The Funeral Service for Barbara Lee will be 10:00 am Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will be at Dubuque Memorial Gardens in Dubuque.

Barbara was born August 18, 1941, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of George and Rosalind (Morris) Allen. She married Edward Krepfle in 1967 and they shared 33 years of marriage together.

She was a bookkeeper for the Delaware County Senior Citizen Center and ran the luncheons for the Ecumenical Towers.

Barbara Lee enjoyed spending time with her neighbors, especially playing cards, dominos, and jigsaw puzzles. She also enjoyed painting, crafting, tending to her flowers, and camping. She was a member of the Dubuque Water Ski Club.

Survivors include her two sons, Allen (Eileen) Schildgen of Warwick, NY, and Daniel (Jodi) Krepfle of Hilton Head Island, SC; five grandchildren, Jacob (Kari) Schildgen, Haley Schildgen, Emily Krepfle, Lance Krepfle, and Megan Krepfle; three great-grandchildren, Reija, Indiana, and Miles; one sister, Patricia (Michael) Kielty of Peosta; two nephews, John and Jason Kielty, and one niece, Jennifer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Brian John Schildgen; and a granddaughter, Rose Marie Krepfle.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Stead Family Children’s Hospital.
