Barney J. Morgan, 81, of Dubuque died Thursday, October 7, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 16th at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection, followed immediately by a Farewell Toast Visitation until 4:30 p.m. at the Egelhof, Siegert and Casper Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road.

Barney was born January 26, 1940, in Shullsburg, WI, son of Burton and Kathryn (Lacke) Morgan.

After graduating from Shullsburg High School he briefly lived and worked in Milwaukee, WI. On June 25, 1960, he married Jane Runde in Shullsburg. They moved to Dubuque where he worked for John Deere, retiring after 30 years of service. He then worked for H&R Block for 27 years.

Barney was an avid Badgers, Packers and Cubs fan. He loved golf, and played regularly at Birchwood. Barney was a friend of Bill W. for 31 years.

He is survived by his wife, Jane Morgan of Dubuque; daughter, Ann (Mark) Peter of Mt. Horeb, WI, and their son Zach; siblings, Joanne (Kurt) Bale of Shullsburg and Dave (Helen) Morgan of Monticello, IA, several brothers in law and sisters in law, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Randy and Mike; his parents; stepmother, Gen; in laws; brother, Nick; two brothers in law and a nephew.
