Beverly J. Kubesheski

Beverly J. Kubesheski, 96, of Dubuque, died Friday, January 5, 2024, at the Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 10:15 am on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at St. Anthony Catholic Church.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Beverly will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Steven Rosonke as the Celebrant. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Key West.

Beverly was born January 23, 1927, in Omaha, NE, the daughter of Lowell and Dorothy (Dart) Martin. On September 17, 1949, she married Robert F. “Bob” Kubesheski at Church of the Nativity in Dubuque. He preceded her in death on January 9, 2007.

Beverly graduated from high school in Fennville, MI and attended Clarke College in Dubuque for two years. She was employed at the Telegraph Herald for three years, then as a computer-type-setter at Antique Trader Publishing for 23 years, retiring in 1992.

Beverly was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she was involved with the Altar Society and Rosary Society, as well as, St. Joseph Circle. She enjoyed reading, playing piano, and playing euchre and bridge. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family.

Survivors include her four children, Kathy (Ron) Stark of Asbury; Sue Jones of Dubuque; Jeanne Jones of Dubuque; and Mike (Connie) Kubesheski of Coconut Creek, FL; nine grandchildren, Bob (Bobbie Jo) Jones, Shelly Jones, Eric Jones, Ron Jones Jr., Dave (Abby) Jones, Dan Jones, Angie Jones, Joe Kubesheski, and Kate (Catherine Hall) Kubesheski; two step-grandchildren, Lori Byrd and Lisa (Mike) Carlin; seven great-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Besides her parents and husband, Beverly was preceded in death by two sons-in-law, Ron Jones Sr. and Bob Jones Jr.; sister, Carolyn (Ivan) Variell; step-great-grandson, Devin Taylor; and brothers- and sisters-in-law, John (Lenore) Kubesheski, Jean (Eldon) Konzen, and Kay (Gene) Meis.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Clarke College or St. Anthony Catholic Church.

The family would like to extend a special Thank You to the staffs at Assissi Village and Stonehill Care Center, Hospice of Dubuque, especially, Diane, and Dr. Andrea Ries for their compassion and care.
