Bonnie K. Stratton, age 67, of Dubuque, passed away at 7:13 p.m., on Friday, October 16, 2026, at UnityPoint Health Finley Hospital.  To celebrate Bonnie’s life, family and friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street.  Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., on Friday at Behr’s with Deacon David Roth officiating.

Bonnie was born on November 20, 1958, in Dubuque, the daughter of Bud and Betty Lou (Theoni) Hunt.

She attended school in Dubuque, graduating from Dubuque Hempstead Class of 1978.

Bonnie married Rick Stratton on July 15, 1978, at Eagle Point Park in Dubuque.

For most of her working career she was a General Manager at Burger King, retiring after 29 years.

Bonnie enjoyed spending time in her garden tending to her flowers, reading and traveling. She loved spending time with her dog, Pepper.  Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Andrew Stratton, Des Moines, IA
and Jayson Robert Stratton, Dubuque, IA;

Jaxon David Sohn, Isaac Stratton and Elliot Robert Stratton;

and her beloved dog, Pepper.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Becky & Don Stratton and a brother-in-law, Randy Stratton.

Bonnie’s family would like to thank Dr. Ringold and the nurses and staff at Finley Hospital, their palliative care team and Tri-State Dialysis for all of their care and support.
