Carla R. Beyer

Carla R. Beyer, age 59, of Dubuque, IA, completed her earthly journey on March 4, 2025, at home while surrounded by her loving family. To honor Carla’s life, a celebration in her memory will be held in the spring. The Tri-State Cremation Center is humbly serving Carla’s family.

Carla was born on March 18, 1965, in Dubuque, IA, a daughter to Edward F. and Anna A. (Giunta) Beyer. She was gifted with a keen mind, a tender heart, and a strong work ethic which was clearly evident to all who knew and loved her. Carla majored in mathematics and found great joy in sharing her talents as a tutor for many years. She also spent over 40 years being the friendly face who was there to serve you at Country Kitchen, Ground Round, and the Village Inn. Carla was a big people person through and through and to meet her was to love her. If you weren’t friends with Carla after spending any amount of time in her orbit, it was only due to your personal resistance to her outgoing and empathetic attitude towards others and life.

Carla was also a gifted athlete and enjoyed perfecting her skills at volleyball, softball, and basketball. Although skilled in many sports she combined her love for mathematics and courts/fields to become a sports manager and score keeper through high school and college. Carla was also an avid reader and when the day was done, she made no qualms about grabbing her latest book and getting comfortable in her favorite chair. But, for those who knew Carla best, there was no denying that family was where her greatest joy was truly found. Her love and adoration for those around her was continually on display and no one ever had to wonder where they stood in Carla’s heart; always at the top of mind.

Carla lived her live with real diligence towards one common goal each and every day. Quality over quantity was her life’s motto. This mode of operation brought not only her much joy and satisfaction throughout her life, but thankfully, it also became a tangible blessing for everyone else as well. We cannot even imagine moving forward in this life without our fearless matriarch leading the way. Her love was boundless, her patience enduring, and every word, thought, and action she developed was centered on others long before it ever came back around to herself. Thank you, Carla, for living life as a wonderful example we can all be honored to emulate. May your legacy thrive vividly within our lives as we all wait patiently, and yet somewhat eagerly to see your beautiful smile once again.
