Celeste Mary (Hansen) Burds, age 87, of Madision, WI passed away on February 17,2025 surrounded by her loving family.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 10:15am on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Cathedral of St. Raphael.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Celeste will be at 10:30 am on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Cathedral of St. Raphael with Father Dennis Quint as the Celebrant. Burial will be at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.

Celeste was born November 8, 1937 in Waupeton, IA, the daughter of Andrew and Helen Hansen.

Celeste was married to Martin A Burds, Jr in Peosta , IA on October 29, 1957. She is survived by her children, Kimberly (Tom) Noonan,  Penny Coy, Linda Johnson, Perry (Lori) Burds, and Heidi Steach; and her six beloved grandchildren, Alyssa, Drew, Katherine, Mackenzie, Cade, and Marissa. She is also survived by sister, Marilyn (Kenneth) Nauman; and brothers, Virgil (Jeannie) and Duane (Peggy) Hansen. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Shirley (Charles Sr.) Busch; and brother, Raymond (Anna Mae) Hansen; and sons-in-law, Joel Johnson and Peter Coy.
