Charlene Marie Oberman (nee Wiegert), age 82 of Stillwater, MN, formerly of LaMotte, IA. Passed away peacefully on November 23, 2023 after a battle with Alzheimer’s. Charlene graduated from Bellevue High School in 1959. She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth, on October 4, 1959. She worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa, IA and Ensign Coil in Bellevue, IA. She loved gardening, baking, and spending time with family. When she retired, she moved to Stillwater, MN to be closer to her grandkids.

Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Alice Wiegert; brothers, Henry and Lyle; brothers-in-law, Aaron Heacock and Lloyd Hingtgen.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Ken; children, Ken H. (Sandy), Susan (Doug) Oberman Smith, Sherri (Jeff) Reihle, Brian, and Jodi (William) Woodard; grandchildren, Amanda (Zach) Schoenecker, Parker Smith, Abbi (Curtis) Reihle-Hames, Kristen (Derek) Kimball, Maria, Henry, Bailey Woodard, Carson Woodard, and Dylan Woodard; 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Arlice Heacock and Ruth Hingtgen; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 6:00-8:00pm at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1616 Olive Street West, Stillwater, MN. Funeral Service Friday, December 1, 2023, 11am at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, with visitation also one hour prior to the service. Interment Saturday, December 2, 2023, 12pm at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in St. Donatus, IA with reception to follow.
