Darcy L. Edwards, 77, of Dubuque, and formerly of Delmar, Iowa, passed away on Friday morning, April 12, 2024, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Darcy Lynn Iverson was born on June 20, 1946 in Davenport, Iowa, to Clarence and Pearl (Brooks) Iverson.  She married James A. “Jim” Edwards on December 6, 1975 in Davenport, Iowa.  Five children were born to this union, Troy, Tara, Jamie, Jolene, and Jennifer.

Darcy was a housewife and homemaker raising a family of five children.  She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards especially Euchre and Footsie, working on puzzles, and listening to old country music.

Those left to honor her memory include children, Troy Edwards of Milan, IL, Tara (Joe) Heuer of Dubuque, IA, Jamie (Terry) Frost of Epworth, IA, Jolene (Jason) Tracy of Dubuque, IA, and Jenny (Ryan) Tracy of Maquoketa, IA; 14 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James on August 4, 2013, sisters Jeanne Iverson, and Sheila Smith, and a brother Kenneth Iverson.

A graveside service and burial celebrating her life will be held at 11:30 A.M., Friday, April 19, 2024, at Evergreen Cemetery, Delmar, Iowa.  Visitation will be held prior to the graveside service from 9:30 to 11 A.M. at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Darcy L. Edwards memorial fund has been established.
