Debra Ann Hauber, 57, peacefully passed away at her home on Sunday, August 31, 2025, with her loving cat, Jeannie KK, by her side.

Private family services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.

Debbie graduated from Western Dubuque High School in 1986. Family and friends referred to her as Debbie or Deb; but her mother’s special name to her was “Deb-a-Do.” Debbie’s unconditional love for her family, nieces, and nephews was upheld with honest integrity. Her loving personality was filled with gentle, thoughtful, charismatic charm. She and her sisters shared a friendship that will forever be missed. Throughout Debbie’s life, she raised, cared, and spoiled her pets with the same loving compassion that a mother to her newborn child would do (and more).

Her artistic talents included beautiful penmanship, precise calligraphy, sketching unforgettable artwork, and painting adorable, life-like ceramic figurines. Debbie also had the talent of sitting in with her favorite band, Mississippi, and pound out perfectly timed rhythmic beats. Debbie enjoyed NASCAR Racing with her being Jeff Gordon’s (24) number one fan. Throughout years of driving with Debbie, it was easy to see that mastering Mach >5 speed while gracefully gliding around Gillespie Hill’s corners would have impressed even Gordon.

Debra Hauber was preceded in death by her father Richard (Dick) Hauber, grandparents Cletus (Dorothy) Hauber, grandparents Donald (Margaret) Cullen, feline children Jesse, Ginger, Jenna Lynn, and Jamie Sue.

She is survived by her mother Donna (Dick) Hauber; sister, Diana (Kevin) Duhme and her children Nick and Ryan; sister, Dawn (Kevin) Wolf and their children Kevin (Kierstyn), Kaitlyn (Ryan) Schilling, William (Brittany), and Danielle (Russell) Schueller.
