Florence E. (Graham) Reding, age 82, of Dubuque, was called home peacefully at 1:35 a.m., on Monday, February 11, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, surrounded by her loving family. To honor Florence’s life, funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Behr Funeral Home, with Deacon John Stierman officiating. To celebrate Florence’s life, family and friends may visit from 3:00 p.m., until the time of services at 7:00 p.m., on Friday, February 15, 2019, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

Florence was born on March 4, 1936, in Lancaster, WI, daughter of Clement and Freda (Taylor) Graham.

Florence was a proud life long resident of Dubuque, where she would meet and marry the love of her life, Robert J. “Bob” Reding, on June 23, 1956. The two would be blessed with 62 wonderful years and 4 adored children together. Florence loved to dance, and was a dance instructor at NICC for 10 years, as well as a member of the Tri-State Boot Scooters Dance Club. Florence also had a great love of horses, she was an accomplished rider and member of the Dubuque County Saddle Club, and was well known as the “Horse Lady” at Y-Camp. Florence was a very generous woman who spent countless hours volunteering her time and talents at the Life Time Center and the Salvation Army Senior Center. Above all, was Florence’s love for her family, she loved spending time with Bob and the children, and was truly overjoyed when the grandchildren started coming along and she could spend time with them. We are deeply saddened at the loss of our sweet, loving, outgoing and charismatic wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, but look forward to the day when we are reunited for all Eternity. We will miss you Florence, and will cherish all of the wonderful memories we have created together throughout the years.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents; and a great-granddaughter, Sophia.

Florence’s family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at the University of Iowa Hospital, especially Lisa, for all of their kind, compassionate and professional care of Florence and her family.

Memorials will be accepted by the family to be distributed among her favorite charities.
