Francis A. Libansky

Francis ‘Fran’ A. Libansky, 77, of Peosta, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018, at home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, with Rev. Steven Rosonke officiating.. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 18th at Hoffmann Schneider and Kitchen Funeral and Cremation Service, 3860 Asbury Road where there will be a wake service at 8:00 pm.
Fran was born August 15, 1940, in Richland Center, WI, son of Rudolph and Julia (Delmore) Libansky. He married Bette L. Nolan, June 2, 1962 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Peosta.
He was employed for 42 years at John Deere Dubuque Works as a Supervisor/Environmental Engineer. He also served in the National Guard.
Fran was an active member of St. Anthony parish being and extra-ordinary minster and worked Emmaus weekends.
Fran also volunteered with the Dubuque Colts Drum and Bugle Corps for seven years, traveling with the corps and held the position of President of the Excusive Board.
Surviving is his wife, Bette, two sons, Richard ‘Rick’ (Judith) Libansky, of Bettendorf, IA and Matthew Libansky, of Peosta, IA; three grandchildren, Justine (Cale) Williams, Kelsey and Riley Libansky; two great grandchildren, Cayden and Jarryd; brothers-in-law, Bill (Rose) Nolan, of Peosta, Rick (Sharon) Nolan, of Castle Rock, CO; and sisters-in-law, Anita Kehoe, of Dubuque and Jody (Lynn) Vorbrich, of Clive, IA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a grandchild, Richard Jon Libansky Jr; a sister-in-law, Patricia Heins, and two brothers-in-law, Jack Kehoe and Lloyd Heins.
