Glenda Joan Rannals, 92, of Dubuque, died Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery in Dubuque.

Glenda was born January 4, 1934, in Dubuque, the daughter of Herman and Mamie M. Fletchley Weichel. On June 15, 1953, she married Jim  Rannals in Dubuque. He passed away August 16, 2012.

She was a homemaker who lovingly devoted her time to raising her family and caring for her home. She also worked at S.S. Kresge Co. and Dubuque Stamp.

Glenda enjoyed playing cards and games, camping, and never passed up an opportunity to play BINGO. Glenda had a special fondness for horror movies and enjoyed watching pool. Above all, she cherished her family and the time they shared together. Her laughter, love, and unique personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her four children, James “Rick” Rannals, Cindy (Michael) Paradiso, and Dan (Joan) Rannals, all of Dubuque, and Dale Rannals of Riverside, IA; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Betty Bray of Cuba City, WI, Lois Rannals of Dubuque, and Barb Hill of Omaha, NE.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, William “Bill”, Earl, Glenn, Jr., and Hilda (Bert) Shade, and brothers-in-law, Roy Rannals and Dick Rannals.
