Jacqueline F. Urbain

Jacqueline (Jackye) Fay Urbain, 76, of Dubuque, Iowa, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026, at Unity Point Health Finley Hospital, surrounded by family and friends.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, March 20, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. at Leonard Funeral Home and Crematory, 2595 Rockdale Rd. Services will be on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. at Leonard Funeral Home with burial following at St. John’s Cemetery, Placid.

Jacqueline was born on November 19, 1949, in Dubuque, the daughter of Lloyd E. and Harriet L. (Goerdt) Harry. On August 24, 1968, she married William (Tony) Urbain from Bernard, Iowa. Jackye and Tony had two children, Todd and Rachael. They also helped raise Jason Harry.

Jackye had a strong work ethic. Her cooking and baking skills were admired by family and friends, as her recipes live on in the kitchens of many who loved her. She worked as a cook at Sunnycrest Manor and The Shalom Center for many years. Jackye loved sports and was an avid Chicago Cub fan. She was involved in bowling, volleyball, softball and pool league in Dubuque.

In 1983, Jackye and Tony moved to Sherrill, Iowa where she enjoyed living on the farm for many years. Her hobbies included baking, gardening, quilting, puzzles and taking rides with the family. While Jackye retired, she enjoyed televised sports and helping with her grandchildren and enjoying her great grandchildren.

Jackye is survived by her husband, Tony Urbain; children, Todd (Heather) Urbain, Rachael Urbain, Jason Harry; five grandchildren, Alicia (Codey), Rashene, Alex (Lexi), Lucy (Kalib) and Molly; five great grandchildren, Aslah, Amias, Hazel, Henry and Ayla; siblings, Brian (Kim) Harry, Barbara (Hal) Burns; in-laws, Lynda Harry, Valerie Harry, Myrna Howell, Delda Hershberger, Mary Agnes Kass, Becky Johnson and Tami (Gary) Hammel; and special friends, Cathy, Theresa, Judy, Margie and many others.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Duane Harry, Mary Kay Harry, Malcolm Grossheim, Karel (Joe) Reinert, Michael Lloyd Harry, Gary Francois Harry (Connie Dement), David Jeffrey Harry, and Theodore Earl Harry; parents-in-law Cyril (Delores) Urbain; and in-laws, Vince Mausser, Jim Hershberger and Vince Kass.
