James Stuart Ferrell, 27, of Manchester, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, at his sister’s home. He was born on June 25, 1992, in Dubuque, the son of Kelly Billmeyer and David Ferrell. James was raised by his mother and step-father, Thomas Breitbach. He attended school in Dubuque. The family later moved to Colesburg and he attended Edgewood-Colesburg High School. After his graduation, James was an assembly worker at Scale Model in Dyersville.

James enjoyed fishing, kayaking, and playing pool. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially Blaine Moll and Travis Miller.

Survivors include his mother, Kelly (Thomas “Howie”) Breitbach of Delhi; his father, David Ferrell; his twin sister, Mariah (Jacob) Burkart of Manchester and sister, Megan (Ashton) Thommen of Delhi; two half-sisters; a cousin, Amy Kirkpatrick of Dubuque; and an uncle, Donald (Dorothy) Ferrell of Arkansas.

James was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; two brothers; one sister; and an aunt, Holly Billmeyer.
