Jane Lampe
Jane Lampe, 76, formerly of Dubuque, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Nation Cottages, Cedar Falls, IA.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Monday, October 15, at Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Fr. Dwayne Thoman will officiate. Entombment will be in Resurrection Garden Mausoleum, Mount Calvary Cemetery. Friends may greet the family from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday, October 14, at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3860 Asbury Rd., Dubuque.
Jane was born on November 30, 1941 in Dubuque, IA the daughter of Donald and Agnes (Heller) Schuster. She married Thomas Lampe Sr. on May 12, 1962 at St Mary’s Church in Dubuque.
Jane worked for over 25 years at the Dubuque Community School District until she retired in 2004. Before that she worked as a bank teller at several Dubuque banks. She was a loving mother, grandmother and an inspiration for her children. She was a talented seamstress, a wonderful talent in the kitchen where she could make anything she wanted.
Jane is survived by Kay Lampe Hannasch (Richard Hannasch) of Huxley, IA, Thomas Lampe, Jr. of Tiffin, IA, Ann (John) Richardson of San Marcos, CA, and Douglas (Ann) Lampe of Waterloo, IA; grandchildren Margaret and Teresa Hannasch, Jill and Holly Lampe, Kellie and Jerad Richardson, and Marcus and Allison Lampe; one sister Bonnie (Eldon) Bigelow, and one sister-in-law Carol (Robert) Schuster.
She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Agnes, her husband Thomas, and brother Robert.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or the Dubuque Arboretum.
