Janice M. Paul
Janice M. Paul, age 69, of East Dubuque, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, September 30, 2023, surrounded by her big, loving family while listening to her beloved Cubs win. To honor Janice’s life, family and friends may visit from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main Street. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, October 6, 2023, at Behr Funeral Home, with Pastor Lynn A. Spicer officiating. Burial will be in Linwood Cemetery.
Janice was born on December 12, 1953, in Dubuque, Iowa, daughter of Leonard and Zita (Ferring) Duster.
She graduated from Leo High School in Holy Cross, Class of 1972. Just a year later Janice married Carl F. Paul, at St. Francis Church in Balltown, Iowa on July 14, 1973. They had a wonderful family together and celebrated 39 wedding anniversaries before Carl sadly passed away on February 5, 2013. Janice was a hard worker. She raised her family and worked in food service at John Deere Dubuque Works for 39 years. Janice was a self described homebody who enjoyed spending time with her family and watching the grandkids play sports. She also liked watching TV and always rooted for the Chicago Cubs, Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Bulls. Janice was a strong woman who always made family her top priority. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Carl Paul; her other “parents”, Virginia and Paul Perry; her in-laws, Gus and Margaret Paul; and a sister-in-law, Dolores Haas.
Janice’s family would like to thank Dr. Hermann and Dr. Heiar from Grand River Medical Group and the nurses and staff of Hospice of Dubuque for their kindness and the compassionate care they have provided for Janice.
