Janice Morgan

Janice “Jan” Morgan, 88, of Dubuque, formerly of Hazel Green, WI, died Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the Unity Point Health-Finley Hospital in Dubuque.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am until 10:15 am Friday, June 28, 2024 at Church of the Resurrection.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Janice will be 10:30 am Friday, June 28, 2024, at Church of the Resurrection with Father Phil Gibbs as the Celebrant. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Dubuque.

Janice was born February 24, 1936, in Wausau, WI, the daughter of Albern Herbert and Ida Mathilda Spindler Stanke. On August 18, 1962, she married John Edward Morgan in Madison, Wisconsin. He passed away on December 15, 2015.

Janice was owner and operator of Morgan Clock Company for forty years.

She belonged to the Church of the Resurrection and past member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary. She loved the Mississippi River and boating. She was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers, and she bowled for many years. She enjoyed gambling at the casino, cross-stitching, and cherished spending time with her family ending with, “I’m so glad you got to see me”.

Survivors include three sons, Dan (Rhonda) Morgan of Dubuque, Jim (Rosalie) Morgan of Hobart, WI, and Bill (Janice) Morgan of Asbury; five grandchildren, Samantha (Justin) Byers, Andrew (Courtney) Morgan, Billi (Kevin McGinnis) Morgan, Adam Morgan, and Mary (Josh Steger) Woodward; ten great-grandchildren Owen, Claire, Amelia, Lennon, Barrington, Augustus, Davi, Emma, Eila, and Elizabeth; one brother-in-law, Bob Noonan of Deforest, WI.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Sandi Tarnow, and Enid Raspel, and two brothers, Myron Stanke and Edgar Stanke.

Jan’s family would like to thank her Resurrection church family for their prayers and support and the Finley Hospital doctors and staff.
