Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory.
The Mass of Christian Burial for Jenny will be 10:30 am Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at Church of the Resurrection with Father Phil Gibbs as the Celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.
Jenny was born January 12, 1973, in Dubuque, IA, the daughter of Martin Louis and Linda Louise Haas Maas. On June 11, 1999, she married David James Schwarz in Dubuque.
She was a 1991 graduate of Hempstead High School.
Jenny found happiness in spending time with babies, and that carried over in her work in childcare, most recently at St. Joseph the Worker.
She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection. Jenny enjoyed shopping, crafting, and camping. Some of her favorite activities included road tripping and playing cards with friends. Above all, she cherished being with her family. Her caring nature shone through in everything she did, always putting others first and making everyone feel loved and valued.
Survivors include her husband, David; one daughter, Haley (Brady Schmitt) Schwarz of Dubuque; one son, Devin Schwarz of Dubuque; her father, Martin Maas of Asbury; two sisters, Heather (Jason) Kretz of Peosta, Amy Clemens of Dubuque; one brother, Jeff Maas of Asbury; one sister-in-law, Penny Maas of Dubuque; nine nieces and nephews, Nathan, Cayden, Nolan, Landon, Brittany, Brandon, Amber, Jacob, and Makyleigh; and one grandpuppy, Kinnick.
She was preceded in death by her mother, her grandparents, and one brother, Randy Maas.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to Drs. Engelman and Marks, as well as the nurses and staff at MercyOne Dubuque Cancer Center, for their exceptional care and support.
