Jeri Rose Boyce, 67, of North Buena Vista, IA passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2025 surrounded by loved ones.

Visitation will be from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Hoffmann Schneider & Kitchen Funeral Home & Crematory with the funeral service to follow at 11:15 am with Msgr. James Miller officiating.

Jeri was born February 6, 1958, in Luling, LA, the daughter of Elwyn Gerald and Dora Lee (Schmill) Schaubhut. Jeri and her sisters were raised by their grandfather, Theodore Schmill after the passing of their parents; a memorable and loved figure in her life. On October 29, 1983, she married Donald J. Boyce in Luling, LA.

Jeri Rose graduated from Hahnville High School in Boutte, LA. She was revered as an amazing cook by those who had the pleasure to enjoy one of her many dishes, showcasing her love for Cajun cooking and her Louisiana roots. She loved spending time in her flower garden and had an affinity for any animal on four legs, especially her cats. Above all, her greatest joy was spending time with her beloved granddaughters, Braelyn Rose, Noelle Marie, and Ember Jo.

Survivors include her husband, Donald J. Boyce of North Buena Vista, IA; son, Russell J. Boyce of Frankfort, IL, Russell’s wife Heather J. Boyce; three grandchildren, Braelyn Rose, Noelle Marie, and Ember Jo Boyce; three sisters, Kim Rousseau of Raceland, LA, Betty Kramer of Des Allemands, LA, and Jody Rome of Luling, LA.

Jeri was preceded in death by her parents, Elwyn and Dora Schaubhut; and her grandparents, Theodore and May Schmill and Author and Rose Schaubhut.
